First Grade Assembly

Dear Parents,
Throughout the school year, each grade level is responsible for presenting an assembly to the rest of the lower school. These assemblies are attended by K-5th graders. Unfortunately the auditorium does not have space for parents as well.

On May 30th, first grade will be putting together a short assembly on What Does It Mean to be a Risk-Taker? Students will perform a play based on the book The Recess Queen. Then they will all sing and dance a song they have learned in Portuguese class. A few students will share with the public about opportunities when they were risk-takers. Our part in the assembly should take 15-20 minutes.

The entire grade level will be rehearsing in the auditorium on Thursday May 29th from 8:30-9:00 am. Since parents are not able to attend the assembly, you may attend our rehearsal at this time. If you do attend our rehearsal, please plan on arriving by 8:20 so that our performers are not distracted  while on stage. We will also be recording the performance and sharing it with you.

Thank you for your support.
Warm Regards,
First Grade Team

On May 30th :
All students should wear a baseball cap ( n/a for narrators, Katie Sue, or Jean)
Narrators should wear white tops/black or dark pants

Katie Sue and Jean wear regular clothes
